PA to Deputy Medical Director, Secured Services

Job overview
This role is to provide a high standard of comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Deputy Medical Director (DMD) for Secured Services.
The post holder must be able to use initiative and plan their own workload in a way that supports the DMD and other management colleagues and must be comfortable working with varied professional groups.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide administration support across the following main areas,
Diary and email management
Meeting planning including agenda setting, minute taking and action tracking
Support with completion of the Integrated Business Plan for the DMD Secured Services, adding compliance data on a monthly basis

Skills & Abilities
Essential criteria
- Assimilate, manage and communicate a wide range of information including sensitive and complex matters
- Ability to prioritise and bring to the attention of the DMD with any relevant supporting information
- Co-ordinate the rolling programme of performance and development reviews, 1:1's, supervisions and appraisals
Desirable criteria
- Undertake specific project work as directed by the DMD
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
- A good understanding of the health and social care sector and the roles / responsibilities within it
- Computer literate and competent in Microsoft and databases
Desirable criteria
- Educated to Diploma level or equivalent knowledge and experience
- Previous experience in a similar role within the public sector
Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
