Job overview

To primarily provide a range of basic administration support to identified administration staff as appropriate.  To cover for colleagues during break times and absence periods where needed.   

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

 

·         To assist the Therapy Team(s) in providing a wide range of clerical and administrative duties

·         To effectively manage self, workload and responsibilities.

·         To assist with typing / proof reading letters and reports as directed.

·         To provide general office duties to include distributing incoming/outgoing mail, scanning and photocopying as required.

·         Answer telephone calls from patients and external organisations promptly and efficiently.

·         To book rooms as appropriate for clinics or meetings.

·         Provide admin support with various waiting lists

·         To support the maintenance and management of the office environment, including stationery provision.

·         Demonstrate tasks to new starters, including temporary staff, if required.

·         To assist with the facilitation of meetings.

·         Reception cover on an adhoc basis

·         Any other duties as may be delegated.

Essential criteria
  • Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Packages
Desirable criteria
  • Working knowledge of SystmOne, E-Roster, ESR

  • NVQ or similiar in Adminsistration or customer service
