An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our Integrated Looked After Children Team as a Service Delivery Support Administrator. The Integrated Looked After Children Team is a busy service, that is constantly developing to meet the needs of children and young people who come into care or who are already in care across the country. The ideal candidate will enjoy working as part of a team and have an adaptable and flexible approach to their work, as well as being committed to providing a first-class service.

You will need to be an enthusiastic, highly organised, and capable team player with good communication, typing/ telephone skills and good general administration ability. You will need to be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of confidentiality issues, be well motivated, reliable, and be able to remain calm under pressure.

Main duties of the job

The Service Delivery Support Administrator will provide administrative support to the Looked After Children Team (LAC) and will be responsible for completing administrative tasks for initial Health Assessments and Review Health Assessments. This will involve inter-agency working and developing relationships within the Team and with other organisations. You will also be referring to and liaising with other teams across the country when a child or Young Person is in a different county, to ensure a Child or Young Person is seen for Health assessments as required

The post holder will provide comprehensive administrative co-ordination for the team including arranging health assessments . The post holder will assist with duties from the Office Administrator and Business Support, as well as the Named Nurse for Looked after children and specialist nurses in the team. 

To receive and triage a range of telephone queries from patients, carers and professionals.

Liaise with inter and external sources to resolve queries, problems or complaints.

Complete general office duties. 

Support other administrators and clinical staff as required.

Receive and action referrals in a timely manner.

Use SystmOne to record patient notes.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Educated to GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent) in literacy and numeracy
  • NVQ in Administration level 2/3 or equivalent qualification
Desirable criteria
  • Other relevant administrative qualifications

knowledge and Experience

Essential criteria
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Packages – Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook
  • Excellent keyboard skills
  • Evidence of previous administrative experience
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of using SystmOne
  • Experience of ESR/Eroster
  • Experience of working with children/young people and their families.
  • Previous experience of working in the NHS.

  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision and to work to deadlines

  • Full Driving License and use of car (or alternative mode of transport) or ability to travel across sites if required
