Job overview
We are a highly creative enthusiastic NHS Talking Therapies service looking for expressions of interest for a secondment opportunity as a Lead PWP. NHS Northamptonshire Talking Therapies is still a developing service, committed to staff wellbeing and provision of quality psychological interventions following NICE guidance for treatment for the population of Northamptonshire.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Role will include:
1) Supporting staff to deliver Step 2 low intensity interventions within the Talking Therapies service; to offer evidence-based interventions within a stepped care model for people experiencing common mental health problems such as depression and anxiety.
2) Providing high quality supervision, support, and a focus on wellbeing for staff providing low intensity interventions within the service.
3) Offer expert clinical support and guidance to Step 2 staff seeing difficult patients or managing challenging and complex referrals when appropriate; in a way that helps to promote learning and resilience.
4) To have overall clinical responsibility for the delivery of Step 2 interventions which includes group and webinar delivery and Computerised Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. This should be done collaboration with other professional leads and the wider Senior Team as appropriate.
5) To ensure National standards are met including the provision of 20 completed clinical contact hours a week and an individual minimum 50% recovery rate.
6) To contribute to learning and development of PWP’s and other external allied professionals or agencies where appropriate
7) To provide some clinical intervention at step 2 for people with common mental health problems.
8) To help support Operational Managers with interface with new Primary Care Networks to help ensure good open accessible pathways into Talking Therapies for service users
9) To be representative of the Step 2 work force in Senior meetings; and when representing the service.
10) Will be supervised by, and reporting directly to, the Central Team Operational Manager.
In addition, the NHFT offer the opportunity to work flexible hours and some out of hours support would be expected as part of the role. The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities

Essential criteria
- Postgraduate Certificate / Diploma in Low Intensity Psychological Interventions
Experience
Essential criteria
- Significant experience delivering evidence-based low intensity CBT interventions within NHS Talking Therapies services, with a good recovery rate and across a variety of modalities
- Senior PWP experience including delivering supervision
- Ability to manage both a clinical and supervisory caseload in line with service KPIs
Desirable criteria
- Experience delivering supervision / mentoring trainee PWPs
- Involvement in service development projects and / or audits to support service performance
