Job overview
It is an exciting time to join the CYP Community Eating Disorder Service as we continue to innovate and grow. There is currently an opportunity for 2 registered nurses or occupational therapists, who have an interest in working with eating disorders to join the team and develop their skills in working with young people and their families.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to partake in training to support them in developing the skills required which are evidence based. The service offers assessment, formulation and treatment to young people county wide. The successful applicants will join a multidisciplinary team including Nurses, Dietitians, Occupational Therapists, Consultant Psychiatrist, Speciality Doctor, Clinical Psychologists and Family Therapists.
Main duties of the job
The role of Nurse Therapist/Allied Health Professional is to offer care co-ordination and therapeutic intervention as identified following assessment. This is a great opportunity for a Registered Nurse/Occupational Therapist who has an interest in further developing therapeutic interventions skills to support the needs of children, young people and carers who access our service. The opportunities include further training in NICE informed interventions and being part of a friendly, passionate, multidisciplinary and growing team.

Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse/OT
- Experience working in the community or with eating disorders
- Demonstrates a passion to develop in this specialist area of work in the application form
Desirable criteria
- Demonstrates awareness of the development of eating disorder services
- Awareness of the importance of physical stabalisation, monitoring and the therapeutic interventions
- Evidence of preparation in the application form of identifying transferrable skills i.e. physical monitoring, interest in eating disorder presentation and treatment approaches

- Evidence of being a good team player
- Demonstrates a willingness to take on additional training and supervision.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
