Northamptonshire Integrated Sexual Health and HIV Service (NISHH) requires a full time receptionist/ administrator to join our team to provide and maintain high standards of patient care through the reception of patients and visitors to the service and ensuring that clinics run efficiently on a day-to-day basis. Main duties of the job

Northamptonshire Integrated Sexual Health and HIV Service (NISHH) requires a full time receptionist/ administrator to join our team to provide and maintain high standards of patient care through the reception of patients and visitors to the service and ensuring that clinics run efficiently on a day-to-day basis. The successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a dedicated team, with the added satisfaction of working for a service committed to the care and wellbeing of our patients.

Excellent interpersonal skills, experience of working on computer systems, an accomplished telephone manner and good communication skills are essential to the role. A thorough understanding of confidentiality within a sexual health service must be demonstrated.  Previous NHS experience is desired.


NISHH places great importance on learning and development for every staff member staff and is committed to providing this. We recognise that without a well trained, developed and motivated workforce, we cannot deliver quality services.

Working pattern to be confirmed but the position is required to cover clinics within NISHH that are provided Monday-Friday between hours of 8am and 8pm and occasional Saturdays. The post will be based at Northampton General Hospital with travel to our spoke clinics in Daventry, Towcester and Brackley therefore an ability to travel to other locations where our clinics are held is required.

Essential criteria
  • Good standard of education to GCSE or equivalent
  • Experience of working directly with the public
  • Clerical and receptionist experience
