Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Performance Team at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS FT. Part of the data community, the post-holder will be responsible for supporting the delivery of performance reporting across a diverse portfolio, including Mental Health and Community Health.
The post-holder will work as part of a dynamic team across operational teams and corporate services to ensure effective performance reporting is delivered on time to multiple audiences.
This role will have a direct impact on the measurement of our improvement journey at Nottinghamshire Healthcare and be an integral part of the wider Performance Team.
Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa. Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.

Main duties of the job
Supporting the implementation of the performance management framework, ensuring processes and systems are in place to enable mobilisation of all reporting requirements and management of performance with the Trust.
Collation, analysis, and interpretation and reporting of information to support the Trust in the management of their key performance indicators. The post holder will provide advice on the use of information and data analysis techniques with a focus on performance against reporting requirements.
Alerting the Performance Managers of any data quality issues or variances in data that require further investigation; the post holder will support ongoing improvement of data quality ensuring confidence and accuracy of data used.
Co-ordination and production of performance reports and offer analytical advice and support to service and team leads.
Supporting the Performance Managers in the implementation, development and production of information and reporting solutions.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Deputise for the Performance Manager
Plan and organise complex tasks: gather requirements, produce and develop reports.
Generate regular internal and external performance and activity reports
Monitor KPIs, identify underperformance risks, and help devise remedial action plans
Mobilise and review contract outcome reporting requirements
Provide timely performance information to services and respond to ad-hoc data requests
Ensure processes are in place to address variances in external agreements and service specifications
Interpret data, investigate anomalies, and escalate issues to the Performance Manager
Support system configuration to capture quality and performance targets and ensure reports meet service needs
Prepare in-depth performance briefings for senior management, highlighting variability and required actions
Assist in implementing new performance standards and coordinate the annual benchmarking exercise

- Educated to Degree level or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience and track record of working in a team.

- Intermediate level qualification in MS Office, MS Excel or equivalent relevant experience.

- Experience and use of a range of statistical / numerical techniques acquired through qualification to degree level or equivalent work experience.

- Ability to understand, validate, interpret and present data through a range of performance graphs i.e. SPC Charts.

- Advanced keyboard/software skills and data manipulation required for the accurate presentation of data.
