Job overview

The role of Digital Services ePR (electronic patient record) Administrator is pivotal in supporting EMAS frontline clinicians and others in their ability to give excellent patient care which leads them to give the best outcomes for our patients through their ability to have access to digital support functions. It also ensures that availability of iPads is at it's maximum clinicians may need a new or replacement

Working within the Digital Services department you will be part of a friendly and enthusiastic team which implements and supports a large variety of digital elements across EMAS

 

Main duties of the job

In this varied role, you will provide a variety of administration to support EMAS' Digital Services Service Delivery department. 

 Provide general ePR admin and Service Delivery admin support.  

 Be responsible for day-to-day management of spreadsheets and databases. 

 Be responsible for reporting on broken or damaged device as well as arranging collection of all devices which have yet to be returned.

Ensuring employees who are leaving have followed process to return their device and equipment. Actively seeking to retrieve devices which have not been returned in a timely manner 

 Overseeing  monthly data use for devices and taking the relevant steps, where required

Ensuring all iPad buffer stock within Digital Services is maximised and available for swap outs. 

Ensuring all iPad data is up to date and correct within the asset registers. 

 Asset control of frontline and non-frontline iPad devices. 

 Able to demonstrate own activities to new or less experienced employees 

 Support the Digital Services  service desk with ePR tasks

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The Electronic Patient Record (ePR) is a critical service where records are created on personally issued tablet devices to all frontline and most non frontline clinicians with around two thousand patient records created each day.

Having these devices and associated services supported and available to all required colleagues in both EMAS and other healthcare settings is pivotal to the Trusts delivery of excellent and appropriate patient care as well as the part this plays with the integration of the wider healthcare community.

The role will also support the service delivery of iPads across the whole Trust region

Person specification

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of IT request, stock and asset management.
  • Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft applications e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Capable of using a range of complex IT applications to provide management information in various forms.
  • Experience in designing, developing implementing, managing, manipulating and maintaining information systems to support stock, asset and request management.
Desirable criteria
  • An experience of or understanding of Customer Service
  • Knowledge of Key Performance Indicators and Service level Agreements
  • NHS Experience

Research and Development

Essential criteria
  • Ability to identify, create and implement service improvement in own work area

Physical Skills

Essential criteria
  • Inputting and manipulating data, information into computer databases, system
