Non-invasive Cardiac Physiologist

Band 5

Job overview

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Cardiac Physiologist to develop their career on a strong foundation with our dynamic, progressive team of Non-invasive Cardiac Physiologists. The successful applicant will receive training in all aspects of non-invasive cardiology. They will be supported by our diverse team to become a specialist within our Diagnostic Cardiology Unit. Training will be provided in required areas for suitable candidates, so this is an ideal opportunity for newly qualified physiologists or those due to soon qualify. This is a particularly exciting opportunity for those seeking to develop their echocardiography skills, or progress to BSE accreditation for those who already have the basic skills.

Main duties of the job

You will work in a key role alongside our large and friendly team across our sites in Nottingham. This will involve undertaking non-invasive physiological testing, interpreting clinical data and providing factual clinical reports. Non-invasive cardiac testing may include Holter monitoring and 24 hour tape analysis, provocative tests such as ETT and HUTT tests and echocardiography. Non-invasive Cardiac Physiologists are supported to achieve full accreditation in Echocardiography from the British Society of Echocardiography.

The post holder will also be expected to provide clinical supervision and training of trainee staff and undertake ongoing CPD activity.
