Job overview
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Housekeeper within the Cardiac Surgery speciality. The candidate would be expected to work in the clinical area of Morris Ward.
Morris Ward is a 20 bedded ward caring for patients pre and post Cardiac Surgery.
The area works closely as a team and with other departments within the hospital.
Main duties of the job
The role will include, but is not limited to;
Working closely with procurement to order and maintain stock levels.
Managing the store rooms, staff and patient areas/facilities and ensuring a clean and tidy environment is maintained.
Ward logistics e.g., helping move beds and clearing/cleaning bed spaces.
Equipment/environment maintenance - liaising with estates/MESU ensuring all medical and non-medical devices and the ward environment are in a good state of repair and yearly PAT testing is undertaken.
Answering telephone calls and signposting if/when appropriate.
General receptionist and clerical duties if/when required.
