Main duties of the job

The post holder will participate fully in the department’s activities, including inpatient and outpatient work. A full range of cardiology emergency and elective patients are admitted to Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and the appointee will be responsible for the management of those patients admitted under his/her care irrespective of sub-speciality.

Work with consultant colleagues to provide a comprehensive elective and emergency Cardiology service including reciprocal cover for periods of leave. Appointee will have continuing responsibility for the care of patients in his/her charge

This appointment has a Structural/PCI sub-speciality focus and will contribute to elective and non-elective structural and  coronary intervention procedures. The appointee will help maintain the volume of in-patient flow with Acute Coronary Syndromes (ACS) with a view to patients achieving access to angiography and PCI within 72 hours of admission.
