Job overview

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic registered children's nurse to work within the Nottingham Children's Pre Assessment  Nursing team.

The successful candidate will join a team of other specialist nurses caring for children requiring surgery and preparing families and children for their upcoming surgery.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The successful candidate will work as a specialist nurse within an established multi-professional team caring for children and young people in the pre assessment service.

You will be hospital based supporting  patients and families for their upcoming surgery.  You will be involved in  nurse-led telephone clinics and face to face pre assessment clinics.

Essential criteria
  • Registered Childrens Nurse
  • Evidence of Continual professional development / reflective profile.
  • Teaching Qualification

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Recent or current experience within the specialty
  • Experience of dealing with complex safeguarding situations.
  • Development of advanced nursing skills in pre assessment
