Job overview
An exciting opportunity has come up to join the Colorectal team, within the surgery division at QMC as a Patient Pathway Administrator.
Main duties of the job
As a PPA within the Colorectal team you will be responsible for monitoring patient results and letters and ensuring they are reviewed in a timely manner. The role holder will work closely with the Consultants, CNS Team, Specialty PA's and the Deputy Service Manager to help ensure local and national targets are met.
In undertaking this role, the employee will be expected to behave at all times that are consistent with and actively supports the Trust values which are detailed below.

Training & Qualifications
Essential criteria
- 5 GCSE’s or equivalent C or above – must include English
Desirable criteria
- NVQ Level 3 in business or related subject
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience in using Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Demonstrates an understanding of patient / client confidentiality
- Can complete letters, forms, reports and tables using computerised technology from information collected
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience of working in the NHS and experience using MS Office, Medway PAS and Notis.
Communication and Relationship Skills
Essential criteria
- Able to communicate with service users, patients and outside agencies in a clear and concise manner
- Uses information gathered to inform others
