Job overview
We are looking for a full-time Locum Gynaecologist with a UroGynaecology interest to join our tertiary hospital team.
Gynaecology commitments include elective and emergency gynaecology with participation out of hours on-call rota and gynaecology hot weeks. The post requires an interest and experience in urogynaecology. The post includes urogynaecology, pelvis after pregnancy clinics and general gynaecology and Community gynaecology clinics. The job plan will also have theatre, vetting and advice and guidance commitments.
We have a two- tier gynaecology on-call consultant rota, one consultant is rostered to cover emergency gynaecology at the QMC campus, the other consultant is on-call for complex surgery, which includes oncology at City and maternity on both campuses, in the event that a gynaecologist is required to support the obstetric team.

Professional Registration
Essential criteria
- Full GMC registration
- MRCOG
- Relevant CCT or equivalent (must be confirmed by GMA by date of interview)
- Entry to GMC Specialist Registrar or eligible for entry within 6 months of the date of interview
Professional Qualifications
Essential criteria
- ATSM in Advanced Labour Ward Practice or equivalent experience Subspecialty training urogynaecology or ATSM/SITM urogynaecology and vaginal surgery
Desirable criteria
- ATSM in Benign abdominal surgery: open and laparoscopic or SITM Gynaecological surgical care or ATSM/SITM Vulval disease
Clinical Experience & Effectiveness
Essential criteria
- Clinical training and experience in general obstetrics and gynaecology equivalent to that required for a UK CCST
Desirable criteria
- Specific training in communication skills

Essential criteria
- Ability to travel between City Hospital, QMC and community campuses
- Willingness to work an on-call rota
- Prepared to live or stay within 30 minutes of the hospital

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
