RPA Developer

Band 6

Job overview

Digital Services are looking to recruit an RPA Developer on a fixed term contract working 37.5 hours per week. This role is part of the wider Digital Products Team and as such will be an exciting and challenging position which will make a difference to staff and patients across Nottinghamshire.

This role primarily involves supporting the automation redevelopment for processes impacted by the delivery of a new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) solution. You will be responsible for redesigning, building and developing existing automations that need to be ported over to the new EPR system. Additionally this role involves the end-to-end lifecycle of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions, ensuring they align with NUH's automation standards and support the organisational operational goals.

Main duties of the job

In addition to the below summary you need to familiarise yourself with the full Job Description and Person Specification documents attached to this advert.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that automation projects are planned and implemented effectively, and that all changes to automations are done in a controlled and planned way, in adherence to the Digital Services Change Request Policy. You will become a subject matter expert for a number of automation solutions for the Trust and also will be expected to take the lead on larger projects with support from the wider RPA Team.

This is a role that opens many opportunities throughout the Trust through exposure to a wide range of staff and processes. You would be involved from scoping to delivery in this fast-paced environment.

Working for our organisation

NUH has over 18,000 staff and believes in helping those staff constantly improve their skills and knowledge.  This is an exciting time to be part of Digital Services at NUH as we embark on the replacement of our existing EPR systems and deploy digital solutions which will support our staff and process for the next 5 - 10 years.

A significant proportion of the RPA team will continue to work from home using loaned NUH equipment. However, there is an ongoing expectation for team members to be on-site at City and QMC hospitals, and to travel between sites as required. A free Medilink bus service is available for staff to support this travel. NUH is currently reviewing its blended working arrangements, and future requirements may include increased on-site presence depending on operational needs.
