Job overview

Working as part of a team, you will provide a high standard of planned and reactive plumbing maintenance throughout the site in support of Team Leaders.  Maintenance Plumbers will be employed on work appropriate to their core specialist skills.  They will however progressively be suitably trained to acquire elements of each other’s skills with the intention of reaching levels of flexibility and competence to enable them to achieve and apply the ability where required to perform the summary duties listed below.  As the post holder will be meeting patients and members of the public, a smart appearance and courteous disposition is needed.

 

 

Main duties of the job

Maintenance crafts person will be employed on work appropriate to their core specialist skills. They will however progressively be suitably trained to acquire elements of each others skills with the intention of reaching levels of flexibility and competence to enable them to achieve and apply the ability where required to perform the summary duties listed below.

The post holder will be based at any premises operated by Nottingham University Hospitals.

Summary duties are:-

Interpret and work from all instructions, drawings and specifications appropriate to his/her trade, without supervision.

Carry out general plumbing maintenance/installation on a wide range of engineering plant and equipment in core area.

  • CITB or EITB Apprenticeship and/or City & Guilds (Part II) Plumbing/Maintenance and/or NVQ Level 2 in engineering related discipline.

Experience
