An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time band 8a Matron post for the Integrated Sexual Health and HIV service.
The speciality has a strong reputation for training and innovation, and the multidisciplinary team work closely together to ensure patients receive the best possible care and outcome.
This role will work alongside other Matrons within the Family Health Care Group.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a highly motivated professional nurse to undertake the role of Matron.
You will have an extensive skill set in nursing management and leadership and be an effective communicator. You will be a positive role model and hold responsibility to support the developments of Clinical Governance and Service Improvement, modernise patient services and ensure the active involvement of patients and carers in the way services are developed, delivered and evaluated.
The post is critical in ensuring safe, quality patient care and experience is provided by the clinical teams and the health and wellbeing of staff remains high on the agenda.

- Qualified Healthcare Professional
- Registered with appropriate regulatory body (NMC,HCPC) with a first degree
- Master’s degree or significant equivalent work experience / post basic training
- Complaints management or relevant experience
- Expert knowledge of Service User Experience and Engagement Agenda’s and good general knowledge of PALS Services.
- Extensive knowledge of the NHS and current clinical standards
