Job overview
We are looking to appoint a full Time Junior Clinical Fellow (at CT1+) level in Genitourinary Medicine in Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust Integrated Sexual Health Service.
Successful applicants will be provided with excellent training and educational opportunities, tailored to meet individual needs. The core work will be in integrated sexual health clinics, but experience in HIV clinics and/or LARC clinics can be offered depending on experience.
The service has an active educational programme and post holders will be able to participate in this.
Main duties of the job
Regular integrated sexual clinics, with a mix of STI and reproductive health presentations. Exposure to a regular HIV clinic may be possible and/or LARC clinic depending on candidate experience and interest. Involvement in delivery of inpatient HIV care and review of sexual health referrals from other in-patient specialties.
Participation in HIV and Sexual health MDTs and involvement in post graduate and undergraduate training and education within the department.
Working for our organisation
The service as a whole sees around 35 000 patients per year, at main Hub clinics at the City Hospital and Victoria Health Centre with 20+ community sites throughout the city and southern boroughs. The HIV service numbers around 1200 patients and is provided at City Hospital.
ISHS provides all levels of contraceptive and STI care, including complex implant removal and coil removals, level 3 STI care and a variety of health promotion work. There are specialist clinics in genital dermatology, recurrent infection, complex contraception and complex PrEP. There is a co-located HIV service and a psychosexual medicine service. The service has an active research profile and currently runs a weekly research clinic in addition to recruiting to a number of national and international trials.

- Understanding of research, including awareness of ethical issues
- Evidence of completion of key competencies equivalent to completion of F2 training
- Experience of working out of hours with limited support.
Desirable criteria
- Management experience
- 4 months or longer experience working in a sexual health environment
- Post graduate qualification in sexual health (eg DFSRH, STIF, Loc SDI or LoC IUT, or similar)
