Job overview
The Chemotherapy Daycase unit at Nottingham University Hospitals serves a population of 1.2 million patients and as a centre of excellence attracts many more from the surrounding counties.
We provide cancer treatment with both curative and palliative intents for a wide range of malignant diseases. Patients may receive: Chemotherapy, Biological and Immunotherapies at the unit.
In order to meet the growing demands on our service an exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to undertake the role of Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse.
The role will also require cross site working and providing cover as needed for our satellite unit at Kings Mill Hospital.

We are looking to recruit someone who has had recent Oncology experience, with proven leadership skills and is competent to administer SACT.
As part of the senior nurse team you will provide support to team members and lead by example by working clinically administering SACT to ensure we provide a high quality, progressive and effective service to all our patients.
You will be given the chance to undertake additional training in regard's to authorising Chemotherapy .
This is a great opportunity to develop your leadership skills and experience of the Band 6 role. You will be part of a very busy, nurse-led team working in an out-patient area.

- Recent Oncology/Haematology Experience
- Supervision of staff

- IV trained
