Physiotherapist Band 5 Rotational

Band 5

Job overview

Band 5 Physiotherapist (Rotational) across QMC, City Hospital  National Rehabilitation Centre (NRC) sites.

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and dynamic physiotherapists, committed to further improving clinical skills and providing quality care to patients, to join our well-established Band 5 physiotherapy rotation at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH).

Physiotherapists are based within the welcoming NUH Therapies department, alongside our colleagues in occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, dietetics and orthotics & prosthetics.

This is a fantastic opportunity to advance and consolidate knowledge and skills across a variety of acute clinical settings, within a broad range of in and out patient rotations.

The role is suitable for new graduates as well as those with previous experience working as a physiotherapist or within an acute hospital setting.

Applications will be capped at 100, so early application is recommended.

Main duties of the job

As a large acute teaching hospital over two sites, NUH has a wide range of fantastic opportunities for staff to start and to develop their careers in healthcare. We have achieved a national and international reputation for many of our specialist services including stroke, renal, neurosciences, cancer services, major trauma and cystic fibrosis.

You will be based in a busy, acute care hospital providing physiotherapy care across both campuses, including participation on weekend and overnight on-call rotas (following appropriate training). You will need excellent interpersonal skills, a flexible approach and the ability to manage your own caseload while working within a supportive team.

Working for our organisation

Therapies, Outpatients and Phlebotomy is one of the directorates that together make up the Specialised Clinical Services Care Group at NUH. We are a diverse pathway of AHPs and support staff, employing over 600 staff who work together to deliver the high quality care we aspire to.

Our HCPC registered AHP professionals comprise of physiotherapists, dietitians, occupational therapists, orthotists, prosthetists and speech and language therapists, and our other staff encompass professionals such as nurses, psychologists, administrative and clerical and support workers.

We have a Chief AHP to lead us on our strategic direction, and many of the pathway leadership team have pathway AHP backgrounds to support our staff. There are also Practice Development Therapists to support career development for all.

We’ve made a clear commitment to our patients and staff that ‘We Listen, We Care’. We will do all we can to ensure our patients get the best possible care we can give them.
