Clinical Educator

Band 6

An exciting opportunity has arisen to Second a Band 6 into a post to lead the education element of the Pre-operative Assessment Service for 12 months. The candidate should be flexible in their working hours to suit the needs of the service and must be able to cover cross site working.

This is an exciting opportunity to look and develop the training needs required within this service. This role will review and develop working tools, compile competency packages, develop speciality packages and run teaching sessions, ensure all mandatory training is to date. They will work with the Divisional Lead for Education and Non-medical Prescribing, to assist future development plans for education.

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated person with the appropriate experience and skills to work closely along side staff members. Demonstrate the skills to support further development of these expanding services. You will need to demonstrate the ability to be able to work flexibly in diverse clinical environments maintaining clinical experience. The successful applicant will have high level self-management skills including time management, prioritisation and organisational, provide on-going and continued support to junior staff. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential to build on the network required for the role. This will be an opportunity for self –development in leading change and team management.

You will be expected to work in collaboration with speciality nursing teams and maintain a good working partnership.

You must be committed to a high standard of patient care and safety. You will have a flexible attitude to work and be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. A willing to share and learn.

All persons appointed to the post are required to hold registration with their appropriate professional Regulatory Body and to comply with their professional code of conduct. Evidence of on-going registration will be required.

Hours of work are 30hrs, this opportunity can be taken as a secondment or fixed term contact, this is to cover maternity leave
