Nottingham University Hospitals NHS  Trust  -Department of Spiritual & Pastoral Care

Post: 2.8 WTE Band 6 Chaplains – permanent full time and/or part time posts available

The ecumenical, multi-faith team of Chaplains which covers both campuses of this Hospital Trust, currently has vacancies for Band 6 Chaplains.

We are seeking to recruit 2.8 WTE permanent Chaplains to expand our large team. We will accept applications from those looking for either full-time or part-time employment (ie 0.6 WTE and above.  Hours of posts from  22.5 - 37.5 to be negotiated)).  Applicant’s ‘Whole Time Equivalency’ preferences should be indicated clearly on the application form.

This is a Band 6 role and applicants will need to demonstrate healthcare chaplaincy experience, with an aptitude for sensitive pastoral working in this context.

Applicants will have accreditation/ licensing with authority to practice as a religion or belief (including non-religious beliefs) leader/ representative and/or pastoral worker.

The role involves weekend working and daytime and overnight on-call.

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is a large teaching hospitals Trust that includes a Children’s Hospital. All Chaplains within our team work generically across all specialisms, however, we welcome applications from those with an aptitude for paediatric chaplaincy.

Joining one of the larger Chaplaincy departments in the country, it is essential that you are  a team player and enjoy working collaboratively. You will be part of a friendly and supportive team, working with colleagues, and in a context, of mixed faith/ belief tradition.
