Ward Housekeeper

Job overview
This is a exciting opportunity that has arisen to work as a Housekeeper on C32 /Surgical triage Unit .
Candidates will be expected to work independently and with members of the multi-disciplinary team and will be required to carry out a wide range of designated tasks.
The hours of working are Monday to Friday. 7-3pm or 8-4pm.
Main duties of the job
The role will include, but is not limited to;
Working closely with procurement to order and maintain stock levels.
Managing the store rooms, staff and patient areas/facilities and ensuring a clean and tidy environment is maintained.
Ward logistics e.g., helping move beds and clearing/cleaning bed spaces.
Equipment/environment maintenance - liaising with estates/MESU ensuring all medical and non-medical devices and the ward environment are in a good state of repair and yearly PAT testing is undertaken.
Answering telephone calls and signposting if/when appropriate.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills.
It is essential that you have experience working in the health care environment and interacting with the general public.

- Good Standard of written and spoken English
Experience

- Previous experience in dealing with customers or clients in a work environment.

- Experience of housekeeping in a health care setting
- Previous experience working in an acute healthcare setting

Essential criteria
- Good communication skills with both adults and children
- Good working understanding of confidentiality
- Demonstrates basic IT skills

- Experience of coordinating the ordering of supplies
