An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Centre Manager to join the Support Services team covering sites in the Nottingham West area.  Based at Stapleford Care Centre the Centre Manager will ensure that the day to day running of the site is fit for purpose for staff, patients and visitors.  The Centre Manager will also ensure that services run effectively at Beeston Clinic and Kimberley clinic.  In addition to this the Centre Manager will manage a team of administrative and ancillary staff across the sites who provide administrative and clerical support to the clinical teams as well as a reception service for patients and visitors.

The Centre Manager is paramount in ensuring that services run effectively across a number of sites.  The day to day management of the sites aswell as a the administrative and ancillary teams is paramount in ensuring our patients and colleagues receive an excellent service.

·         To ensure the efficient day to day delivery of services within the centre

 ·         Ensure effective liaison with tenants in the Centre.

 ·         To ensure that the centre is both safe and secure for all users.

 ·         To ensure that patients and other users of the building are met by a welcoming and efficient first point of contact, whether in person or by telephone.

 ·         The comprehensive management of the administration and ancillary team

 ·         Review of staff training needs by PRD / KSF and ongoing assessment to ensure service needs are met.

·         To deal with difficult patients over the telephone and face to face, looking to resolve any conflict and take appropriate action where necessary.

 ·         To monitor and report staff sickness, absence and annual leave.

 ·         To act as Fire Warden for the building identifying risks and organising fire lectures.

 ·         To ensure that all policies and procedures relevant to staff and premises are adhered to.

 ·         Responsibility for the reporting of any maintenance needs, or structural defects and submission of requisitions.

 ·         Requisition and ordering of all medical and non medical equipment, goods and supplies as required by staff and others.

 ·         Co-ordination of administration and ancillary team to ensure there is sufficient cover for periods of annual leave and sick leave ensuring continuity of service.

 ·         To act as authorised signature for mileage expenses and extra and unsocial hours payments for administrative and ancillary team.

·         To organise and co-ordinate the documentation and despatch for the archival / microfilming of patient records.

Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa.

Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment. 

You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.

Qualifications

  • Possession of a recognised leadership/management qualification to Foundation Degree level or significant recent leadership management experience
  • Knowledge of a full range of Business & Administration procedures acquired through NVQ Level 4 or significant leadership experience, which will include management of staff including complex issues such as change management and conflict issues
  • Typing/word processing qualification to RSA/OCR III standard or equivalent skill level
