Job overview

Sherwood Forest Hospitals are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Midwife to join our traditional community midwifery team working within teams in Mansfield, Sherwood, Ashfield or Newark. The role includes a mixture of working hour patterns and nights on call to support the needs of the women in our care. 

As a Community Midwife, you will support the provision of the highest quality patient care through personal actions and evidence-based woman centred care which can be delivered in a variety of models.

You will work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary teams in an environment that is supportive and empowering. As a member of our team you will be professional, reliable, compassionate and safe with excellent communication skills and a progressive attitude to the continual improvement of patient care through evidence-based practice. 

At Sherwood Forest Hospitals we have a vibrant and varied multidisciplinary team providing high quality maternity care to around 4500 women per year (with a birth rate around 3200). Our recent CQC visit, in May 2020, rated the Trust as ‘Good’ overall and ‘Outstanding’ for Care for maternity services.
