Job overview
Sherwood Forest Hospitals are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our dedicated Pre‑Packing Team at King’s Mill Hospital.
Our Pre‑Packing Unit at Sherwood Forest Hospitals holds an MHRA Specials Licence, enabling us to pack down and over‑label large batches of medications for both internal departments and external customers. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a highly regulated environment where accuracy, consistency and teamwork are essential.
About the Role
As a Pre‑Packing Operative, your duties will include:

Receiving and checking incoming stock

Safe and organised storage of medicines
-
Packing and over‑labelling medication batches

Ensuring all products meet quality and regulatory standards

Preparing and distributing medicines to internal and external customers
This role is vital in supporting the safe and efficient flow of medicines throughout the organisation.
You’ll be part of a friendly, supportive team that plays a crucial role in ensuring medicines are prepared safely and efficiently for patients across the Trust and beyond. This full‑time position offers stability, development opportunities and the chance to work within a regulated, professional environment.
Please note, this is not a dispensing role. We do not dispense prescriptions, and there is no patient contact involved.

- Maths and English Grade C GCSE/GCE

- NVQ level 2 in pharmacy services
