Join Our Team at King's Mill Hospital!
Are you looking for a rewarding opportunity in the healthcare field? King's Mill Hospital's Trauma & Orthopaedics Department are seeking a dedicated Clinical Typist to join our dynamic team.
Key responsibilities:
- Maintain a high standard of support to the King's Mill and Newark Hospital patient pathway
- Audio typing of clinical letters, operation notes and discharge summaries as directed by the Patient Pathway Co-ordinator
- Prompt tracking in and out of case notes using the PAS system to maintain accuracy and completeness of all electronic records
- Deal with telephone enquiries from patients, relatives, clinicians and other members of Trust
The work is fast-paced and challenging but very rewarding. Your experienced colleagues will provide you with a robust training programme that will help you build the skills, knowledge and confidence that you need to become a successful Clinical Typist.

Essential criteria
- Computer literate with excellent keyboard skills
Desirable criteria
- Medical terminology
- Working knowledge of PAS and the NHS in general
Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Good general education including English GCSE at grade C or above (or equivalent)
- RSA II (or equivalent)
Desirable criteria
- European Computer Driving Licence
- NVQ Level II Admin
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working within an office environment
- Quality Customer Service

- NHS experience
