Job overview
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated MRI radiographer to join our MRI team. We will also consider experienced Radiographers who are looking to train in MRI.
This is an exciting opportunity currently based at the Kings Mill site, with the potential for future rotation across all SFH sites. We have exciting expansion plans underway to increase the MRI service across the Trust over the next 8 months, including the development of our new Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) MRI at Mansfield Community Hospital, and on the Kings Mill Site the MRI department will benefit from a new state-of-the-art new build unit with 2 x Philips Ingenia Ambition 1.5T system in the next 12 months, within an environment designed to offer the best service to optimize both staff and patients' experiences.
The post-holder will work as part of a team consisting of radiographers, an Assistant practitioner, and imaging assistants to provide a 12.5-hour, 7-day service in the MRI Department. The successful candidate will develop specialized knowledge and expertise to produce high-quality images for diagnosis and treatment, while maintaining high standards of care.
Our service is supportive of advanced practice and leadership development.
These posts are full time 37.5 hours per week, worked as 12.5 hour days (with 1 hour unpaid break)

Working for our organisation
We are an award-winning NHS Foundation Trust working alongside health and social care colleagues across the county to provide acute and community healthcare services to more than 420,000 people across Mansfield, Ashfield, Newark and Sherwood, and parts of Derbyshire and Lincolnshire.
We put the patient at the heart of everything that we do and it is our aim to make sure that every patient is treated as we would want a member of our own family to be treated. At the same time, we expect our staff to be caring, kind and courteous to each other and to look out for each other. We believe that we are truly a clinically-led organisation.
We are proud that our Trust colleagues have voted us the best acute Trust to work for in the East Midlands for seven years running in the National NHS Staff Survey, while the Care Quality Commission has rated our Trust as ‘outstanding’ for care and our King’s Mill Hospital as the only ‘outstanding’ NHS-run hospital in the East Midlands.
