We are seeking to recruit a Band 3 Health Roster Coordinator to join our fantastic multi-disciplinary teams within the main Hospital.

Wathwood Hospital is a purpose-built 78 bed adult male medium secure Hospital.  Located in its own grounds and surrounded by open countryside and woods, it caters for those aged over 18 years who require assessment and treatment of mental health difficulties in a secure environment.

Wathwood is part of Nottinghamshire Healthcare, which is one of the country’s leading mental health and learning disability service providers, employing over 6000 staff to provide these services over more than 100 sites.

The four wards allow a gradual progression so patients can develop their life skills and become better prepared for life in a less restrictive environment.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and highly motivated administrator to provide an efficient, comprehensive and confidential administrative support service in relation to eRostering, safe staffing, staff bank, and clinical and mandatory training to operational managers and the wider team across Wathwood Hospital within the Adult Mental Health Directorate.

Swydd-ddisgrifiad a phrif gyfrifoldebau manwl

To assist in the generation and monitoring of safe and effective staff rotas using the eRostering system for allocated areas on a regular and timely basis.

To provide administrative support to operational managers on a daily basis, enabling safe and efficient use of staffing across the hospital.

To update and maintain the eRostering system on a daily basis.

To confirm and amend information entered onto the eRostering system by Ward Managers and Senior Nurse to enable up to date and accurate reporting from the system.

To communicate with clinical teams on a daily basis to ascertain the level of clinical activity in relation to mental health, substance misuse, primary care and outside activity supporting the Ward Managers and Senior Nurse in ensuring that adequate staffing is available.

At the request of Ward Managers and Senior Nurse, to ensure appropriate action is undertaken in relation to staffing requirements during emergency situations.

To monitor staffing levels and inform Ward Managers and Senior Nurse of any shortfalls or staffing problems, ensuring any instructions received are actioned.

To produce and distribute reports, including statistical and historical reports from relevant systems.

To ensure that confidentiality is maintained at all times in accordance with Data Protection Act and Caldicott.

To undertake general office duties including answering telephone enquiries appropriately, photocopying, filing and preparation of documentation.

To provide advice and support to all staff in relation to eRostering system, overtime, Staff Bank and any other enquiries.

To liaise with payroll and finance regarding eRostering system issues as required.

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.

You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.

Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa.

Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.
