This could be for you.
We're seeking a Ward Clerk to join us on a part-time basis in Abingdon Community Hospital.
You will be part of the admin team working on a part time basis on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday 4-8pm. You should be motivated and enjoy working in a challenging and busy environment providing a comprehensive administration service.
Main duties of the job
- Provide comprehensive clerical and administrative services to the ward team, including managing referrals, maintaining the ward diary, answering telephones, and handling emails
- Assist with daily staffing level checks, update patient status boards, prepare documents for new admissions, and support the induction of new staff into electronic systems and processes
- Coordinate patient transport, manage visitor interactions, and ensure the ward photograph board is up to date to help patients and visitors understand the team
- Contact the Estates Department for repairs, report issues with medical devices, and ensure the maintenance of office and clinical equipment
- Act as a fire responder, manage health and safety protocols, handle patient satisfaction questionnaires, and ensure adherence to infection control policies
