We offer a variety of roles across different services, all dedicated to delivering best-in-class care and supporting service users on their recovery journey. 
 
Current vacancies include:
  • Mental Health In-patient Services – Based on Ruby Ward, a female acute mental health ward at the Whiteleaf Centre in Aylesbury, supported by a Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist.
  • Amersham Community Mental Health Team – Providing exceptional care and treatment to adults facing mental health challenges in the community.
  • Crisis Resolution & Home Treatment Team (CRHTT) – Delivering intensive, patient-centred care at home as an alternative to hospital admission. This role includes inpatient liaison with our partner crisis teams. Whilst initially the role will be supporting the South Bucks team in High Wycombe in time the role will shift to working from The Whiteleaf Centre in Aylesbury.

Main duties of the job

  • Conduct initial screening and assessment of all service users, providing intensive short-term treatment as needed.
  • Manage a caseload of clients with complex Occupational Therapy needs, using evidence-based, client-centred principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions.
  • Assess and prescribe appropriate equipment and aids to ensure patient safety and independence with advising staff, families, and carers as required.
  • Monitor and evaluate treatment plans, collaborating with other teams within the Trust and third sector organisations when appropriate.
  • Supervise and develop junior team members, including appraisal, caseload management, reviewing interventions, and delegating responsibilities

For our community and CRHTT role, please note applicants must have a full valid driving license and have access to a vehicle for work.   • BSc/MSc/PG Dip Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist (OT)
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working in Mental Health

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Appropriate experience, usually a minimum of two years post qualification experience.
  • Experience of working with the mental health service users in a variety of settings
  • Experience of working collaboratively with carers to meet both the needs of the carer and the user.
Desirable criteria
  • Community work with people with mental health needs.
  • Experience of supervising student placements.
