We're recruiting a Service Manager to provide operational service management opportunity leading the Psychological Therapies Pathway including the Psychological Therapies Service, Autism & ADHD Services, Complex Needs Services and the Primary Care Mental Health Hubs is now available within Buckinghamshire Adult and Older Adult Mental Health Services. Please note for this role you should hold a qualification in one of the following nursing, occupational therapy or social work.
We are looking for candidates with a passion for patient centred care and quality improvement with an established track record of delivering high performance standards through a compassionate leadership and management stance.
You will already have proven experience of working in a senior management/leadership role which will have included transformational change, budget management, developing staff and culture and involvement in risk and governance processes.
You will be required to work closely with the established teams to support the delivery and development of the services and to fulfil national and local strategic and operational service objectives and standards. This role is essential in delivery of key quality, performance and key service improvements within adult and older adult mental health.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The Service Manager is responsible leadership, management, quality, staff, finances and performance of the nominated service(s). Typically, this team will include medical, nursing, AHP and psychologists.
The Service Manager will also be responsible for contribution to overall Directorate strategy/policy to ensure that the Directorate delivers its quality, people, finance and performance objectives (in regard to the service they manage).
As part of a ‘matrix’ style organisation structure the Service Manager is also responsible for working collaboratively with ‘horizontal’ leads/manager from across the Directorate and the broader Trust. This will include medical, nursing, therapies, social work, psychology, learning disabilities, finance, HR, IM&T, estates, emergency planning etc.
As a leader in the organisation the post holder is expected to role model exemplary personal and leadership qualities at all times. This will include joining the Head on Call rota and occasionally deputising for the Head of Service.
