Job overview

We, in Horizon, are a Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), working with children and young people experiencing distress as a result of sexual harm. There is no doubt that working in mental health, and particularly with sexual harm, can be challenging, but it can also be a hugely rewarding, and fulfilling experience, where you can make a real difference.

This Assistant Psychologist role is based at Maple House, The Slade, Oxford. The team shares office space with other small teams which are co-managed and offer other specialist input to children who are getting into trouble or being harmed by others.

We work in a variety of ways including consultation, assessment and intervention. We are looking for a motivated and passionate assistant psychologist to help our service delivery and support our ongoing development. The role supports the team whilst also being under the supervision of a clinical psychologist and contributes to the treatment of individuals as well as the service response more generally.

We'll need you to travel across the county for direct work and to the office as required, but there is the possibility of some remote working.

  • Supporting with the collection and scoring of routine outcome measures and patient feedback
