Trosolwg o'r swydd

This is an exciting time to join a dynamic and innovative CAMHS workforce in Oxfordshire.

Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) have been set up in response to the Government’s Green Paper in 2017. They aim to increase access to mental health support by delivering evidence-based early interventions for children and young people (CYP), in both Educational and Health settings.

Working within Oxfordshire MHST, your role will be to supervise EMHPs and help them to develop their role. Supervision consists of  Case Management Supervision of low intensity cognitive behaviour therapy interventions. This may include supporting  trainee EMHPs (Band 4) and/or qualified EMHPs (Band 5). You will be involved in triaging and allocating referrals and supporting the whole school approaches we offer in schools.

The Oxfordshire MHST currently consists of Educational Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) delivering 1:1 and group interventions.

The team also consists of youth workers who work in Secondary schools offering more ad hoc and easily accessible support for young people who don't want 1-1 support.  We also have high intensity CBT therapists who can broaden our scope of support.

In summary the role will involve offering a range of low intensity cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) based treatments alongside offering clinical supervision to our Education Mental Health Practitioners. We offer parent-led approaches that focus on addressing challenging behaviour and child anxiety, as well as therapy group work.
