An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Staff Nurse at Wintle ward which is part of Adult Inpatient Service!
As a Staff Nurse you will work as part of our Multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality care to our patients and support our trust on it’s Journey to Outstanding Care.
We have a culture of continuous professional development and as a Staff Nurse we expect you to embrace change and engage in Quality Initiatives on the Ward to improve the service we provide.

Main duties of the job
Wintle Ward is an 16 bedded female acute ward. We provide care and treatment for up to 16 patients, experiencing a variety of mental health problems.
You will work within a needs-led model of care and will work in co-production with patients. You will work a rotating shift pattern Early, Late and Nights to cover our 24 hour 7 day a week service. All candidates must be computer literate.
The responsibilities of the role include:
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to diagnose, assess, plan, and implement patient
specific programmes of care/interventions, contributing to the continuous assessment of patients. - To undertake assessments, using your profession specific clinical knowledge and skills under close supervision from a clinically experienced member of staff.
- To function effectively across a variety of environments (e.g. ward, department, patients home etc.) involving changing and demanding conditions
- To use a comprehensive range of verbal and non-verbal communication tools to communicate with patients and their families/carers.
