Job overview
Murray House is looking for a full time receptionist/administrator who can prioritise work load and has plenty of initiative. Murray House is a new outpatients Health Hub based in North Oxford at Jordan Hill Business Park. There are a range of clinical services based in the building, including specialist dentistry, podiatry and 0-19 Children’s Services. The receptionist/administrator will be supporting these services and operations related to the building.
This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
To provide professional, effective and efficient reception and administrative support to all staff working within the department using agreed processes and procedures to ensure the service standards are achieved. To be the first point of contact for patients and referring partners within Murray House Directorate Hub, managing appointments and queries, assisting where necessary and ensuring the priorities of the team are delivered effectively.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
- To present a welcoming and inviting first point of contact for the service, whether this is by providing a prompt response to queries, managing a phone call or managing the referral within the guidelines of the team.
- Provide a high standard of general office duties to include responding to emails and phone enquiries, answering the telephone, taking and recording messages accurately responding to queries appropriately, filing, photocopying, scanning, following Trust procedures and protocols.
- Managing the booking instructions given from the clinician following the appointment, ensuring it is booked in line with priorities outlined by the service.
- Manage the incoming mail (electronic and post), date stamp and manage in line with service guidelines.
- To fully understand all areas of the services, raising any questions to the Lead Administrator. Attending ongoing training to ensure a quality service is provided.

- Good standard of general education to include 5 GCSE (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics

- Suitable administrative experience
