We are looking for an enthusiastic radiologist to join the team of Nuclear Medicine / PET-CT radiologists working cross site to provide high quality imaging services to Oxfordshire . The Trust is a cancer centre with a large oncology unit, a surgical centre, a tertiary referral centre for disease and is also a major trauma centre. The Directorate is progressive and keen to invest in the future workforce with such measures as a 4 day week, home reporting, advanced practitioner radiographers and cycle to work schemes.

The post holder will provide imaging support for nuclear medicine / PET/CT patients and cross-sectional imaging responsibility for the Trust. The Directorate is developing an extended day working on rotation and the candidate will be expected to participate in this service.

The post holder will be part of the radiology team and deliver high quality imaging, intervention and biopsy services across the Trust. Additional subspecialty interests may be accommodated/supported e.g. in oncological imaging.

Qualifications / Training
Meini prawf hanfodol
- FRCR or equivalent
- CCT in Radiology, or within 6 months of achieving CCT at the time of interview
- At least one year higher level training in nuclear medicine radiology at a recognised training centre.
- Full GMC registration

- Fellowship in nuclear medicine imaging
- Additional post graduate medical qualification
Experience

- General training in Radiology to Specialist Level or equivalent.
- It is expected that the applicant has reached core and higher competence in the vast majority of radiology as laid out in the RCR syllabus.
- Ability to make decisions at consultant level
- Ability to report cross sectional imaging independently

- Evidence of organisational skills, communication skills, professional and personal skills to undertake effectively the role of consultant in Radiology in a major teaching hospital.
- Evidence to support good professional skills as required for good medical practice.
- Evidence to support good interpersonal skills.
- Evidence to support good communication skills.
- Evidence of previous teaching experience at various levels
- An understanding of clinical governance and experience of clinical audit

- Post graduate teaching experience
- Good computing skills, word processing/ spreadsheet and web browser use.
- Knowledge of organisation of NHS and governments agenda for modernisation of the NHS. Evidence of management training.
