MSK Band 5 Radiographer

Full time 37.5 permanent

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated radiographer to complement our friendly, social and dynamic Radiology team here at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to further your clinical experience within the field of musculoskeletal imaging. We are a busy orthopaedic radiology department carrying out all types of general and specialist orthopaedic examinations. All radiographers rotate to general x-ray, fluoroscopy and theatres. There is also an opportunity to rotate through our bone densitometry suite.

Main duties of the job

All staff are required to work 4 days per week over 7 days and cover on-call shifts from home over the evenings, nights and weekends. This post requires an active role in the maintenance of image quality and high standards of diagnostic imaging as well as the mentorship and support of student radiographers. Participation in the on-call rota for evenings and weekends is required.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

This is an opportunity to gain the highest standards of orthopaedic radiography and to develop your career within our supportive and friendly department.


You should hold the appropriate BSc qualifications and experience in orthopaedic radiography. In addition, you must have excellent communication skills and be able to work on your own initiative and as a member of a team.
