Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM), servicing, and repairs on critical medical equipment.
  • Investigate and resolve faults on complex medical devices, ensuring they are safe and effective.
  • Communicate with clinical staff, operational teams, and responder groups to understand and assess device issues.
  • Support assurance of correct diagnosis and treatment through reliable equipment performance.

  • Patient lifting equipment
  • Patient monitoring systems

Corporate Induction

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Responsible for contributing to the efficient running of the Planned Preventative Using technical knowledge through formal, internal/external training & experience to carry out function, calibration, quality control, safety, acceptance-testing including advice on equipment specification and evaluation of medical devices used for patient care. Ensure exceptional levels of accuracy when undertaking calibration to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatments plans.

Essential criteria
  • Has the ability to read and interpret technical information and able to use a full range of electrical/electronic test equipment to diagnose medical device faults
  • Is computer literate in the Microsoft office package and/or a specialized computer system.
  • Have analytical skills to analyze data daily and ensure maintenance and medical device information is modified and uploaded in an accurate, proficient and timely manner to ensure accurate audit trial of each individual device
Desirable criteria
  • Qualified to C1E+D1E driving license

  • HND in electronic/mechanical/clinical engineering or equivalent
  • knowledge demonstrated at equivalent standard gained through relevant experience/training
