Do you fancy developing your therapy skills in a forward-thinking service?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Physiotherapist to join our team at Witney Community Hospital.

We are looking for a pro-active and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join us and actively drive forward the rehabilitation on our inpatient wards.

You must have a desire to work with older people with experience of providing assessments, rehabilitation, falls prevention, management of long-term and frailty conditions. You will undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner working without direct supervision and help assist in the supervision and education of junior physiotherapists, rehabilitation assistants and physiotherapy students.

In this role, you will be a key member of the multidisciplinary team, working alongside the nursing team, providing a high-quality rehabilitation service, in line with current best evidence-based practice.

There is an inspiring team of allied healthcare professionals across the Community Hospitals, who can provide supportive clinical leadership and further training opportunities, to offer you skills to learn and develop your career.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is an accelerator site for the Ageing Well national agenda, as part of the NHS Long Term Plan. This offers the opportunity to shape and develop both rapid responsive patient care and supporting patients to rehab in their own home environment.

The physiotherapists within Oxford Health work closely with other multidisciplinary team members, social services and voluntary organisations for adults with a wide range of physical and mental health conditions

Successful applicants need to be able to travel between sites and to patients own homes to complete assessments and may be required to work across extended hours and seven days in order to meet the needs of our patients.
