Bank Senior Radiology Clinical Support Worker

Job overview
We currently have a vacancy for a Radiography health care support worker to join our busy and friendly teams in Powys. Working in the Radiography departments in Brecon/ Ystradgynlais/ LLandrindod Wells, Newtown and Welshpool. The opening hours of each site are from 8.30-5 Monday to Friday.
Radiology currently provides imaging investigations, including X-Ray and Ultrasound with the possibility of further experience in other modalities in the future.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
The role will involve working within a multidisciplinary team, providing high quality patient care during imaging investigations. The duties of this post include supporting Radiographers, Radiologists, Sonographers clinically and undertaking clerical duties, while rotating through all areas of the Radiology department.
You should ideally have excellent communication skills and full computer literacy. Previous clinical experience in a healthcare setting with experience of patient databases is desirable.
Main duties of the job
As a key member of our imaging team, you will:
✅ Independently undertake direct clinical tasks delegated by registered staff, ensuring smooth and efficient radiology services.
✅ Work alongside registered professionals to assist with examinations such as musculoskeletal injections
✅ Perform vital administrative and clerical duties, including booking and scheduling examinations under the direction of registered staff.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Level 3 qualification in relevant healthcare subject, or possess the equivalent skills, knowledge and experience
- Understanding of the role of Radiographic Support Workers
Desirable criteria
- Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology • Knowledge of clinical work
Experience
Essential criteria
- Previous experience of working with the public in paid or voluntary roles • Experience of using computers
Desirable criteria
