Sponsorship
Currently we are unable to provide certificates of sponsorship for this role as it does not meet the Home Office’s criteria. Anyone requiring a certificate of sponsorship is therefore unable to be shortlisted and interviewed.
The post holder’s prime responsibility is to assist the resident in day-to-day tasks in the Care Home.
Work under the supervision/guidance of the Registered Manager or Deputy Manager.
Foster an atmosphere whereby residents are encouraged to maintain and further develop independence as fully as possible in a person-centered way.
Communication is required with residents giving empathy and reassurance and supporting residents with dementia and communication difficulties.
Attend and participate in training and staff development programs as identified in the annual staff appraisal system.
Attend and participate in team meetings.
Mentor and support any duties/tasks to new staff.
Main duties of the job
Assist staff in the assessment process by contributing to developing a picture of a residents’ needs.
Assist in the delivery and updates of care as identified in the residents’ care plan.
At all times reporting observations on progress or deterioration to the senior or Registered Manager.
To care for residents’ by:
Washing and bathing residents and assisting with dressing and undressing.
Assisting with toileting requirements of residents, especially those who are physically, mentally frail or confused.
Use a commode, wheelchair, and hoist if the resident has failing needs.
Participate in the development of activities and day care programs for residents in which they can join and will enhance their quality of life.
Assist residents who are dying in a sensitive and dignified manner.
