Job overview

We are looking for a highly organised, motivated and compassionate individual to join our Psychology Service as a Team Administrator and secretary. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the delivery of a high-quality, patient-centred service by providing comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to our clinical and management teams.

Main duties of the job

As the first point of contact for the Psychology Service, you will play a vital role in ensuring that service users, carers, relatives and professionals receive a professional, responsive and supportive service. You will be joining a dedicated team committed to delivering excellent psychological care and support across the service.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a supportive Psychology Service where your contribution will make a real difference to patients, carers and clinical colleagues. You will work within a professional and friendly environment and play an important role in supporting the delivery of effective psychological services.

Essential criteria
  • • Knowledge and experience of general IT systems including Microsoft Office (to include Outlook, Word and Excel), database management
  • • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • • Significant experience of working at an administrative level in a relevant setting
  • • Understand the importance of confidentiality and experienced in implementing processes to comply with the principles of the Data Protection Act
  • • Experience of successfully working to support a variety of professionals in a busy and demanding environment
  • • Experience of prioritising daily and ongoing tasks to meet both routine and non-routine deadlines
Desirable criteria
  • • Ability to plan and organise effectively
  • • Good interpersonal skills at all levels
  • • Strong written and verbal communication skills, to communicate with a range of individuals at all levels and across a range of organisations
  • • Ability to identify confidential and sensitive issues
  • • Self- motivated, with the ability to work on own initiative and with minimal day to day support
  • • Ability to travel as required to locations in Wales
