Support the Primary & Community Care Academy and Clinical Education Team in the operational organisation and delivery of clinical skills education and training in relation to Powys Teaching Health Board.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Support the Primary & Community Care Academy and Clinical Education Team in the operational organisation and delivery of clinical skills education and training in relation to Powys Teaching Health Board.
Design and deliver training and assess the competence of learning outcomes are being met, along with providing feedback when standards have not been met.
Record attendance and evaluation of training programmes provided in accordance with statutory requirements and entered onto appropriate databases.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- NMC registered
- Teaching qualification at Level 3 (minimum) or relevant experience at delivery of training
- Evidence of relevant continuing professional development
Desirable criteria
- Teaching qualification e.g., PGCE
- Competence to deliver education within the clinical skills framework
Experience
Essential criteria
- Significant post registration clinical experience within a clinical setting
- Highly developed presentation / teaching skills
- Experience of liaising with education providers and awarding bodies
- An understanding of NHS policy relating to Registered Professionals and Support Worker roles
Desirable criteria
- People management skills
- Experience in leading / implementing change
Skills & Attributes
Essential criteria
- Demonstrate tact and diplomacy when working with others
- Be proficient in a range of commonly used clinical skills associated with Nursing and Support Worker roles
- Proven ability to devise, initiate, manage, and deliver learning / teaching programmes
- Ability to articulate a broad knowledge of the NHS Agenda in relation to learning, education and development
- Ability to be creative, innovative, adaptable, organised, motivated and methodical
- Managing a learning environment by coaching / mentoring, influencing problem solving and motivation of staff
- Excellent communication and negotiating skills
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of Qualifications and Curriculum Framework
- Sound working knowledge of qualification awarding bodies
- Some ability to speak, read and/or write Welsh, or an eagerness to learn
