Job overview

Do you have an interest in Business Continuity and Risk Management? An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Welsh Blood Service (WBS). We are seeking to employ a self-motivated, enthusiastic, and highly organised individual to fulfil the role of Business Continuity and Risk Administrator.

The post holder will support the Business Continuity team as an essential team member for both Business Continuity and Risk Management across the service. This position provides an opportunity to gain extensive organisational knowledge and work across multiple departments, communicating with a wide range of colleagues (internal and external). The post holder will support service preparedness and incident response across the organisation.

The post holder will take this position on a full time permanent basis and will be based at Welsh Blood Service HQ Talbot Green CF72 9WB.

Essential criteria
  • HNC, NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Business Administration/related subject or Equivalent relevant experience

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Demonstrable experience of working as administrator for a large team. Familiarity with record-keeping and audit processes. Experienced user of Microsoft Office software tools.

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Able to balance tasks and priorities. Work as team member and foster good working relationships with staff at all levels. Formal minute-taking skills. Strong organisational skills. Time management and ability to prioritise. Excellent communication skills – verbal and written. Observe discretion and confidentiality. Able to work proactively and under own initiative.
