As a member of the Management Accounting team, the postholder will offer a responsive, high quality, customer focused Management Accounting service which actively makes the connection between delivery and achieving the wider Trust aims and objectives, within the most effective use of resources available.
Ensures financial information is processed in accordance with Trust policies and procedures; and investigates complex enquiries providing assistance and advice as required.
In conjunction with the Divisional team and the Senior Management Accountant, to produce annual budgets for the division which contribute to the Trust overall financial framework and the Divisional annual business plan; and producing monthly budgetary reports and variance analysis to explain variances from plan and support budget managers to take corrective actions.
Support the Senior Management Accountant, and senior finance team to continuously improve on systems and processes within the management accounting function to maximise efficiency of the team to give a consistently high quality service to customers.

Main duties of the job
· Producing accurate and timely monthly reporting ensuring it represents a true and fair view at any given time.
· Completing the annual budget setting exercise for area of responsibility working with colleagues to ensure realistic budgets are set across the Trust.
· Supporting financial planning activity and business development processes through the maintenance of budgets and forecasts, liaising with managers and external organisations as required.
· Providing detailed advice and guidance to support managers discharge their financial management and stewardship duties effectively.
· Responsibility for the management, supervision, training and development of more junior staff as required.
· Implementing changes to procedures in own areas and which have an impact on other areas for service improvement.
