Personal Assistant to the Deputy Chief Nursing Officers

Job overview

The post holder will ensure that necessary systems are in place to provide a responsive and efficient administrative, personal assistant and secretarial service to the Deputy Chief Nursing Officers. The post holder will be a secretarial support for the Associate Chief Nursing and Associate Directors within the Chief Nursing Officer’s (CNO) portfolio. Using their reasoning, intellect and judgement to manage own workload, make decisions and proactively deal with issues without reference to others. It is essential that the post holder undertakes the extensive duties with flexibility, initiative and enthusiasm and operates as an integral part of the senior corporate CNO team.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an experienced personal assistant who is a strong team player, who is highly organised, and who has the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide range of people both within and outside the Trust. Your duties will include formal minute taking and production of formal reports and other correspondence. You will need strong IT skills to be successful in this role. 

The successful candidate will be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Essential criteria
  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Experience of minute taking and knowledge of admin procedures
  • Significant and demonstrable experience of an office manager/ secretarial role
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of NHS and experience of NHS in large organisation
  • RSA III or relevant professional secretarial qualification
