Job overview

A vacancy has arisen for a full time Trust Doctor (CT2-3) in ENT until August 2025.  

This is a non-training post, but provides excellent learning opportunities.

The post would be most suitable for applicants who have completed Foundation Training and hold full registration and a licence to practice with the GMC

Main duties of the job

You will be expected to review patients, arrange investigations, provide appropriate blood product support, review results of investigations on a daily basis and provide timely discharge summaries. Consultant ward rounds are conducted daily.

You will participate in the out of hours rota, 1 in 7 weekend rota (covering 0800-2000 resident on call and 2000-0800 non-resident on call for ENT only).

Education and training

 Although not an officially recognised training post, this post will offer an excellent learning environment for training. You will have the same educational opportunities as our rotational GPST doctors.

There is an active audit programme and junior doctors are expected to carry out at least one audit and present their findings during each post. The audit office is keen to offer support, particularly with design and data interpretation.
