We are looking for people who have a flexible approach, good communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to use their own initiative. 

You'll be joining the Cleaning Department which is a large team who provide cleaning to all areas of the hospital. 

Cleaning is a vital service within the hospital, helping to control the spread of infection, and providing a welcoming and safe environment for all our patients, staff and visitors.

Our Cleaners are generally assigned to specific location, enabling them to feel part of the local area team as well and build great relationships.

We provide full training on our cleaning procedures, the use of our new microfibre mopping system, the cleaning schedules and required cleaning frequencies, and use of cleaning chemicals.

We have a number of vacancies for cleaners with a wide variety of shift patterns available. Shift patterns can be created to suit your individual needs.

Full Time Shift Patterns:

Monday to  Friday:  07:30 -15:30, 11:30 -19:30 and 16:00-22:00

Part Time Shift Patterns:

Saturday - Sunday 07:30-15:30 , 11:30 -19:30, 14:00 - 22:00 and 16:00-22:00

Main duties of the job

Main duties:  

You will be responsible for achieving high standards of cleanliness in clinical or non-clinical areas through the RUH and for ensuring that a clean, safe and comfortable environment is maintained for patients and visitors.

You'll be cleaning  to maintain NHS Cleanliness Standards, and some areas of work will be in a fast-paced environment and you will be making a difference to ensure we meet the highest level of cleaning standards, including a Deep Cleaning process.

No experience in cleaning is necessary. Full training will be provided.
