Job overview

The Gastroenterology team is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for an 18-month fixed-term contract or internal secondment to the role of Administrative Manager.

This pivotal role combines people management with the chance to work in a dynamic and fast-paced specialty. You’ll be part of a multi-disciplinary team, helping to ensure that administrative processes run smoothly and effectively to support high-quality patient care.

As Admin Manager, you will:

  • Lead and coordinate the day-to-day administrative operations of the service.
  • Support the delivery of key performance, quality, and financial targets.
  • Contribute to service development in line with directorate plans.
  • Play a vital role in improving patient pathways through efficient administrative systems.

Main duties of the job

Key elements of the role include; 

  • Provide a full and comprehensive administration service for the Gastroenterology services, including line management.
  • Provide administrative support to projects taking place within the services.
  • Review and optimise the admin structure and processes in the department to support key performance measures and comply with National and Trust targets.
  • Ensure all staff are working towards the delivery of high quality care to patients.
  • Ensure all staff are working to deadlines that contribute to national standards and patient experience measures for the service.
